Liquid Handling Customer Reviews
We recently added a customer review form for each of our liquid handling products (as well as our software and protein crystallography offerings). If you are considering one of our products, keep an eye on the following pages as we begin populating them with customer submitted reviews. If you are a current user, we’d love to hear what you think of our liquid handlers – please check out the pages and submit a review (it should only take a couple minutes to submit). Formulatrix is attending LRIG-Midwest’s Spring Meeting
We are excited to join the LRIG Midwest community in their annual Spring Meeting, “Automating in Today’s Business Environment: Doing More With Less.” We will be attending the exhibition and bringing the Mantis and Tempest along for hand’s on demos.
Rock Imager 2.8:
Instant Imaging, Enhanced Rock Maker Integration
With Rock Imager 2.8, benchtop users can image a plate without having to first create an experiment in Rock Maker. This new feature is called Instant Imaging. Images appear in a Rock Maker folder by the same name. (Requires Rock Maker 2.6)
In addition, Rock Imager now communicates capture profile information to Rock Maker, preventing confusion when capture profiles or imager defaults are modified between inspections.
We´ve also added auto update functionality, so when we release future updates Rock Imager will alert you and walk you through the update process if you have an Internet connection.

Rock Maker 2.6:
Slideshow View, New Image Score Displays
You spoke, we listened. Rock Maker 2.6 features the much anticipated release of slideshow view, which enables you to view your experiment images in a full-screen slideshow. To learn more about slideshow view, watch this video.
Rock Maker 2.6 also adds different displays for scores depending on if the score is a manual score, new images have been taken since an image was manually scored, or if your image score has FRAP data associated with it.
Other updates include the ability to:
- Compare Images from Different Inspections and Capture Profiles
- Lock image zoom and position settings
- Include image zoom in drop reports

First European Customer for SONICC Benchtop!
Formulatrix is excited to announce that the Center for Free-Electron Laser Science / DESY has purchased the first SONICC benchtop system in Europe!
They will be using it for characterizing their protein examples and screening for crystals. It will be especially useful for their nanocrystallography FELs experiments where only SONICC can be used as a pre-characterization technique for positively identifying crystallinity.
