Field Service Engineer

FORMULATRIX, a leading provider of protein crystallography, liquid handling, and PCR automation solutions, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our world-class customer support team. We are looking for someone who excels in customer interaction, takes pride in solving problems, and enjoys traveling (business trips). We welcome candidates who can work with customers to resolve complex issues and who are familiar with PCs and technology.
You will be responsible for repairing high-end biotech automation instruments, primarily focusing on our industry-leading liquid handling product line. You will work with dedicated colleagues under the Asia Support Manager based in Indonesia, and provide feedback to Product Managers and the Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- On-site installation and repair of equipment (nationwide across Japan)
- Customer training and support via phone, email, and remote access tools such as TeamViewer
- Preparation for demonstrations and exhibitions, and support for the sales team
- Maintenance of the support office and spare parts depot
- Business trips requiring overnight stays
- Recording customer interactions and issues in the company’s CRM database
- Detailed reporting of on-site support work
- Collaborating with engineers and product managers to resolve product issues
