About the Position
We are seeking diligent, dedicated, and dynamic individuals to join our Lahore, Pakistan office as an Application Scientist. This role aims to increase our sales and marketing capabilities to help drive sales for our Liquid Handling product line. This is an excellent opportunity to directly apply your laboratory experience to developing markets within the life science industry. This position requires someone that is customer-focused, hands-on, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, cross-group collaboration, and planning skills. Candidates must work well independently, with a global team, and directly with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Outline, plan, and create collaborative technical publications that highlight how our automation solutions solve a problem for researchers and fit within their workflows.
- Create training materials, Webinars, App notes and conduct lessons around relevant scientific applications for sales, marketing, and engineering teams.
- Establish relationships with customers to understand their needs better and understand how our solutions may be of assistance.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to establish a laboratory to conduct small scientific experiments using our automation solutions.
- Collaborate with clients and the marketing team to conduct online webinars on relevant scientific applications.
- Research and create competitive product reports and training materials.
- Support the sales team with customer inquiries about relevant scientific applications.
- Some domestic and international travel may be required.
- Ability to work with a global team spanning multiple time zones.
Requirements:
- MS degree in the life sciences or equivalent with a sound knowledge of general biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology.
- Broad knowledge of natural sciences necessary for cross-discipline collaborations
- At least 2 years of wet lab experience (graduate research experience will be considered).
- Life Science industry experience (1 + years) is strongly preferred.
- Teaching experience (including Teaching Assistant positions) is a plus.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.
- First-author or co-author publications showing aptitude for scientific writing are a big plus.
- Hands-on experience with commercially available or homemade laboratory automation.
