Converging Innovations to Break Barriers in Neural Drug Discovery

The RealBrain Neural Micro-tissue Platform Realised with the Formulatrix F.A.S.T. Liquid Handler

RealBrain® microtissues, a family of class-leading 3D organotypic neural models, offer human-relevant alternatives to traditional animal models for high-throughput screening of potential drug candidates. These models mature quickly, are highly scalable, and provide optical clarity to visualize neural networks. Tessara's unique biomaterials, combined with the speed and precision of the Formulatrix F.A.S.T. Liquid Handler, enable the encapsulation of neural stem cells into 3D microtissues, ready for assays within just 3 weeks.

F.A.S.T. is a next-generation, low-volume positive displacement liquid handler. It delivers high precision at sub-microliter volumes without requiring liquid class optimization. Its 96-channel head facilitates rapid liquid transfers in 96- and 384-well plates, making it ideal for high-throughput assays.

This webinar will showcase Tessara's RealBrain technology and highlight how the F.A.S.T. liquid handler has enabled the production of 3D organotypic neural models in a 96-well format, ensuring high reproducibility and scalability for efficient drug development.
