Formulatrix, a leader in innovative automated liquid handling technologies, announced a multi-year collaboration and supply agreement to advance the automation of Olink’s PEA (Proximity Extension Assay) technology, including the Target 96, Target 48, Flex, and Explore workflows. The agreement sets forth terms for the supply of certain Formulatrix products and services for purchase by Olink and Olink’s end-customers, as part of an Olink Package involving configuration of such products to Olink workflows.
Olink Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) technology enables high-throughput, multiplex measurement of proteins using minimal volumes of serum, plasma, and many other biological sample types. Using antibodies tagged with unique DNA sequences, PEA allows researchers to perform precise protein detection using qPCR or NGS systems, greatly expanding access to proteomics for deeper biological insights into drug discovery and personalized medicine.
The F.A.S.T. (Flow Axial Seal Tip) by Formulatrix is a reliable and easy-to-use automated liquid transfer system designed to quickly move liquids of any viscosity with its unique positive displacement tips driven by a 96-channel head. With its best-in-class accuracy, precision, and reliability for low-volume sample transfers (down to 0.1 μL with 5% CVs), the F.A.S.T. system is now a validated solution for Olink IFCs and PEA Target and Explore workflows The system also automates tedious serial dilution steps for accurate sample preparation.
